Altınözü’s Sarılar Quarter, which is one of the most intensive regions of Orthodox population in Antioch is preparing for a big festival. Within the scope of the festival, which was prepared in association with Sarilar Neighborhood Social Assistance and Cultural Development Association, children’s events, theater shows, surprise artists and Easter Halo events will take place. In front of the festival events, the opening ceremony of the Sarilar Nieghborhood Association will be held.
Visit to Altinözü District Governor
In this context, the President and Managers of the Sarilar Neighborhood Social Assistance and Cultural Development Association visited the Altinözü Governor Bülent Uygur in the past days. Chairman Kosta Çiftçioğlu, Board Members Yusuf Mansuroğlu and İdo Yamanoğlu have exchanged opinions with the Governor and invited him to the festival to be held on 5th– 6th August.
The Governor Bülent Uygur, thanked the Sarılar District Social Assistance and Cultural Development Association Chairman Kosta Çiftçioğlu and the accompanying delegation and expressed his pleasure for their visit.
Work in the Sarilar District Continues
On the other hand, the peparation for the festival events are going on. The association executives and residents will also display local products at the festival. During the festival events, handmade products such as Pomegranate Souce and Olive Oil will be presented to the participants as well as special t-shirts, mascots and hats for the festival.
