The Easter Sunday which is celebrated by Catholics all over the world on Sunday, was also celebrated in Istanbul.
Holy Spirit Cathedral in Istanbul had the first morning mass in English by Father Andres with the accompany of the Superior of Salesian Congregation for Germany and Turkey, Father Reinhard Gesing.
The second mass of Easter was offered in French by the Bishop Mgr Ruben Tierrablanca Gonzalez with the accompany of Father Reinhard Gesing, Father Jacky and Father Andrès, while Father Nicola Masedu played the organ and led the church choir.
The Bishop Mgr Ruben in his sermon spoke about the courage of Mary Magdalene in the search for Christ Jesus and reminded of the happiness and hope of Easter day. He then invited all participants to renew their baptismal promises and blessed everyone with the holy water.
After the ceremony, Mgr Ruben Tierrablanca conveyed his Easter wishes to the priests and faithful.
