Opening of the Protestant Church in Tuzla
The Istanbul Protestant Church Foundation opened a representative office in Tuzla on Saturday (October 19th) with the participation of believers and church leaders from Istanbul and surrounding provinces.
The opening speech of Tuzla Protestant Church was made by Pastor Emre Karaali, the representative of Istanbul Protestant Church Foundation in Tuzla and also in Izmit. Pastor Karaali stated that they prayed for two and a half years to open the church and emphasized that it was a place bigger than they had hoped and even believed. He said: “We hope that this church will show the light and love of the Lord to the people in this region. We will pray both for Tuzla and Turkey.
Istanbul Protestant Church Foundation Chairman Timur Topuz said in his speech that their Foundation was founded 20th years ago and many representatives and churches were opened in 20 years. He stated that there are 12 representatives under the umbrella of the Foundation and that the purpose of opening this church is to glorify God as in other churches.
Carlos Madrigal, the spiritual leader of the Istanbul Protestant Church Foundation, said in his speech that their joy was great and that they were happy that the name of the Lord would be announced in Tuzla. “The aim of being a church is to know Jesus, to reflect Jesus and to introduce Jesus. We want to reflect this light around. We want to disperse it” said Madrigal.
The church leaders who attended the opening ceremony prayed together for the Istanbul Protestant Church Foundation Representation in Tuzla. After the prayer, Pastor Karaali showed the building to the guests.
