Many young people from different churches gathered at the Awakening Youth meeting on November 2nd. This month’s theme of the Awakening Youth was one of the most important issues in the Christian world, “The Identity of Jesus Christ.”
The program, which started with the reading of 2 Chronicles 7:14 by Çiğdem Alan and the worship group took their place on the stage. The hymns described the character of Jesus Christ, who he was, in accordance with the theme of the month. Çiğdem Alan encouraged young people to leave their shame, their weakness, their sins before God, and to humbly approach Him.
After the worship time, Yusuf Peker from the Dirisu Church and Cenk Erçevik from the Pera Resurrection Church performed a theater play entitled “Prayer.” After the performance, those who were born in November were invited to the stage. They were prayed for, and each was given a gift.
Noyan Öçal, one of the pastors of Beşiktaş Church shared a few information about Kastamonu and then prayed for young people.
After the sermon, worship was continued. The young believers humbly brought their hearts before the Lord. Afterwards, a collective photograph of participants was taken.
The next meeting of the Awakening Youth will take place on December 7, 2019 at UG Hall where the pastor of KUT Church Vahan İsaoğlu will preach and Işıl Öçal, one of the worship leaders of Beşiktaş Church will lead the worship. (SAT-7 TURKISH / DAP)
