On November 1, ‘All Saints Day’ was celebrated at the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Iskenderun of Antioch.
The ceremony was conducted by the parish priest, Dariusz Dogondke. Father Dogondke in his sermon emphasized that the believers’ reward in the heaven will be great.
Pointing out that all our saints were sanctified by the presence of the Lord Jesus, Father Dogondke said that the Saints entered Heavenly Jerusalem and that everyone who walks on the earth and carries the own cross after Jesus is a candidate to the sainthood; “We celebrate the joy of the church, the mystical body of all saints who have been sanctified by the presence of the Lord Jesus. Those Saints are both those who have reached their destination and entered Heavenly Jerusalem, and we are still walking on earth and carrying the cross after Jesus.
The winners are happy with their reward. But we desire Him as reward. The reward is great, because our reward is participation in the love of our God, our Father. My friends, your reward in the Heaven is really great.”
The ceremony, which took place in the Catholic Cathedral of Iskenderun due to the Feast of All Saints, ended with the Holy Communion (SAT-7 TÜRK / İlyas Edip TERBİYELİ-İskenderun)
