Kadikoy Anatolian Protestant Church in Istanbul hosted yesterday a baptism ceremony where 6 people expressed their faith in Jesus Christ and got baptized.

Pastor Gürkan Çamsun of Kadıköy Anatolian Protestant Church explained the meaning of baptism before the ceremony and made important points. In his sermon, he noted that baptism is an act of obedience for both the new Christian and the church, because it was intended to obey the commandment of Jesus Christ. He said that baptism is an opportunity to testify and it symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and is a visible expression of starting a new real life in Christ.
Before the ceremony, the new Christians shared their testimony about how they met God and how God changed their lives. Later, the baptism ceremony was started and the congregation prayer for the believer who gained new life.
