Courtesy Visit from the Association of Protestant Churches to the Ecumenical Patriarchate
The Association of Protestant Churches Board of Directors after the courtrsy visit they organized to Patriarchate and the Syrian Metropolitans on September 23, today (October 15), they made a courtesy visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate and met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
According to the information obtained from the Protestant Churches Association, it was noted that a very warm meeting was held and mutual information was exchanged. The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomeos and the Patriarchate officials who took part in the meeting were informed about Protestant churches by the Board of the Association of Protestant Churches. The deepening of relations and strengthening of cooperation between the churches were discussed.
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Patriarchate officials were present at the visit, while Protestant Churches Association Term President Pastor Ali Kalkandelen, Secretary General Umut Şahin, Board Members Behnan Konutgan and Vahan Isaoğlu were present in the delegation of the Association of Protestant Churches.
After the visit, Pastor Ali Kalkandelen, President of the Association of Protestant Churches presented a plaque to Patriarch Bartholomeos, in memory of the day. On the plaque was writen the verse;
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4: 4-6)
