Easter Holiday increased the Turkish tourism
It is stated by the local sources in Muğla where 1.200 British tourists came to the town before the Easter celebration. It is also stated that during the Easter holiday 10.000 European tourists are expected to visit the city.
In Marmaris which is a touristic municipality of Muğla the hotels are completely booked due to Easter. It is confirmed that in April, 10 flights a week would arrive from to Dalaman Airport. For the occasion of the Easter holiday and the Newroz celebrations a big touristic mobility is reported after the arriving of a thousand of Iranian tourists.
Turkey Travel Agencies Association (TÜRSAB) Marmaris Regional Executive Board Chairman Ali Kırlı said that 60 percent of tourists who come from the UK with 10 flights per week prefer Marmaris for their holiday.
Bülent Bülbüoğlu, the Chairman of the South Aegean Hotels Association (GETOB), said that the first English tourist group arrived with the flight of March 31st and said “Marmaris is very well prepared. The weather is also beautiful. Thanks to these, our hotels will be fully booked.”
In local sources, British tourists who come to Marmaris for Easter holiday stated that they had no worries about the security.
