The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, one of the biggest holidays in the Christian world, Easter was celebrated with enthusiasm in all Armenian Catholic Churches, for the first time in two years, on Sunday, April 17.
The following attended the great Easter mass presided over by Archbishop Levon Zekiyan at the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate Church and the Sakızağacı Surp Asdvadzadzin Church: Archpriest Vartan Kazancıyan, Archpriest Abraham Fırat, Der Hayg Aram Çekiç, Archdeacon Der Hagop Minasyan, Gisasargavak Jan Acemoğlu, Gisasargavak Levon Kechichian and readers with clergy, heads of foundations and their representatives.
The Easter Mass, in which the Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Choir sang hymns under the direction of Chief Zaven Agay, was also broadcast live on the Church’s social media pages.
The fact of the resurrection, which forms the basis of the Christian belief, and the basic element on which the belief in eternal life is based is that Jesus was resurrected from the dead. Through this resurrection, those who die by faith in Christ will not perish, but will be resurrected with Him at His final coming.
