Hrant Dink was remembered by hundreds of people in front of the Agos building, the political newspaper which he founded, at the 11th anniversary of his assassination. Ms. Fethiye Çetin, Dink Family’s lawyer did a speech. Referring to the important points about the case, Lawyer Çetin said: “Hrant Dink’s assasination, was not the first case of the tradition of the political murders and assassinations and certainly was not the last. Let’s become Hrant Dink, let’s open our arms together, hold the whole world and put the love inside it. Let’s become Hrant Dink, let’s create the peace, democracy, the culture of the co-existence culture and dialogue. Since the establishment of the world, we are have been those who fight for justice, freedom, equality, peace, and those who aspire to transform the hell into the paradise. We have done it before, we will do it again.”
The prosecution of suspects about the assassination still continues. The last trial of 85 defendants whose 11 detainees and 10 fugitives was held in early December. In that trial, five arrested suspects were released.
The next trials will be held between January 29-30 and February 1-2, 2018.
