Can Sautoğlu, a member of the Antioch Orthodox Community and also the President of the Association of Photographers of the same city has taken photographs of the churches in the last few years and he opened a personal photo exhibition entitled ‘Antioch is different in Festivities’.
The exhibition is organized by the Greek Orthodox Church Foundation of Antioch In the garden of the St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church. The Governor of Antioch Orhan Mardin, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hikmet Çinçin , Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Hüsnü Işıkgör and the representatives of Orthodox, Catholic and Jewish communities attended the opening.
The photographer Mr. Can Sautoğlu said “Every year we are celebrating our feasts at the historical church of Antioch with great excitement. I am proud of the opening of my personal exhibition called ‘Antioch is different in Festivities’. The purpose of doing this exhibition is to share the air of the unity which we breath in this ancient city with the friends.It is a big honor for me having you here at the opening of my exhibition. For this reason, I would like to thank each of you.”
Sautoğlu thanked the Orthodox Church Foundation Chairman of Antioch Mr. Fadi Hurigil and the sponsors of the exhibition the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Konak Restaurant, HASGAZ A.Ş. and the Baya Baking. He also stated that the income of the sales of photos of the exhibition will be donated to the Foundation for Children with Leukemia.
After the opening ribbon was cut and the speeches, the participants visited the photograph exhibition with interest.
