In the calendar of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the third Sunday after Easter is called ” Garmir Giragi ” (Red Sunday). For the occasion of the Holy Mass in this special day, His Beatitude Patriarch Sahak II preached the meaning of red in Christian faith, in Armenian and Turkish. The Patriarch said:
“Most people call martyrdom only death, but martyrdom also means testifying using the life hidden within us. The key word of testimony in Christianity is love, and this love is more than just a feeling. Because loving means to sacrifice and to evaluate the life we have for others. May the love in the essence of Christianity equip us all with the power to help those who need help. ”
