Women’s Christmas Celebration by Bilge Women’s Ministries was held on 14 December 2019 with the participation of women from different churches of Istanbul.
Speaker Varsenik Ohanyan, referring to the meaning of Christmas, said: “a silent period passed for 400 years before the Savior was born. But the Lord never remained silent. He worked and worked constantly. We fall asleep, but the Lord never stop working. God has plans for you and for me.”
During the worship time where the Christmas hymns were sung, women praised God. Also a theatrical performance entiled “Jesus Christ, the greatest gift of God”, transmitted God’s deep love to the audience. In the word-searching game related to the Bible, prepared by Debora Basmacı, women tried to complete the competition in pairs.
The Christmas celebration ended with hymns, prayers and exchange of small gifts.
