The Christmas celebration in Mersin was held at the Latin Italian Catholic Church.
The church, which is located in the central Akdeniz district was equipped with lights. The celebration is led by priest Francis Dondu.
The Christian citizens lit candles and prayed with hymns. At the end of the ritual in the historic church, the participants embraced each other and celebrated Christmas.
Christmas was celebrated in Mersin Greek Orthodox Church too. After the prayer, the parish priest of the Greek Orthodox Church in Mersin Ispir Coşkun Teymur spoke about the birth of Jesus Christ. After the ritual, a cocktail organized by the church administration.
