As exactly one year has passed since the February 6 Earthquake Disaster centered in Kahramanmaraş, the members of the community who lost their lives in this great destruction were commemorated at their graves in Iskenderun.
Bishop Seyyidne Arsenyos Dahdal, who came to Hatay as the representative of Patriarch John the 10th to attend the commemoration ceremonies to be held throughout Hatay on the anniversary of the February 6 Earthquakes, also attended the commemoration ceremony held at Karaağaç Asri Cemetery by the İskenderun Greek Orthodox Church Foundation Board of Directors. Bishop Dahdal prayed at the graves of those who lost their lives in the earthquake.
In addition to Bishop Dahdal, Archimendrite Paul Orduluoğlu, Iskenderun Orthodox Church Fathers Dimitri Yıldırım and Yusuf Nicholas Papasoğlu, and Antakya Orthodox Church Father Dimitri Doğu also accompanied the prayer and commemoration ceremony held at the graves of the community members who lost their lives in the great disaster.
Relatives of the deceased earthquake victims, who were commemorated with prayers at their graves, also experienced emotional moments.
