On the occasion of the Holy Resurrection Feast, which is celebrated for 40 days, Holy Offering Rites (Surp Badarak) were held by the Anatolian Overseer of the Patriarchate of the Armenians of Turkey, Father Avedis Tabashyan, for the members of the Armenian community in Anatolia.
On Saturday morning, April 30, at the Virgin Mary Ancient Assyrian Church in Elazig, the Holy Offering was held with the participation of members of the Elazig Armenian community, by the hand of the Anatolian Observer, Father Avedis Tabasyan. Religğous official Priest “Muşeğ Dağ” was also present at the ceremony. The ritual ended with the blessing of bread and salt. After the Church Mass, they went to the Elazig Armenian Cemetery with the community members. Here is Requiem (Hokehankisd) prayers were read by Avedis Tabashyan for those who sleep in the Lord. Later on, Anatolian observer Father Avedis Tabashyan spent time with community members and paid visits.
On the morning of May 1, the Holy Offering Ceremony in the Church in the Malatya Armenian Cemetery was held with the crowded participation of the Armenian community. Father Avedis Tabasyan in Both Regions started his speech by conveying the Blessings of the Patriarch of the Armenians of Turkey, Sahak II, on the occasion of the Holy Resurrection Feast.
After the ritual, (Hokehankisd) prayers were said for those who sleep in the Lord in the Cemetery in Malatya. Eggs were tapped at the Love Table Prepared after the ceremonies, and the gospel of “KRISTOS HARYAVI MERELOTS ORHNAIL E HARUTYUN’S KRISTOSI” (JESUS IS RISEN, THE RESSURECTION OF JESUS CHRIST) echoed. During the ceremonies, Father Avedis Tabasyan was accompanied by Senior Reader Yusuf Tabas, and in Malatya, he was accompanied by Sarkis Boyaci and Minas Tabas.
