On Sunday, March 28, the Holy Mass was held at the Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Armenian Catholic Church in Taksim, under the presidency of Archbishop Levon Zekiyan, for the Dzağgazart (Zağgazart – Palm Sunday) Feast of the Armenian Catholic world. In the feast, which is also called Palm Sunday and Olive Branch Feast, together with the Holy Mass, the blessing of olive branches and Tapor Tırınpatsek (Opening the door of the Church) ceremonies were also held.
The holy liturgy, which was held with a limited number of congregations due to the pandemic, was accompanied by the high priest of Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Church, Vartan Kazancıyan, Kahana Der Haygaram Çekiç, Gigasargavak Jan Acemoğlu, and readers. Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Choir sang hymns under the direction of Conductor Zaven Agay.
