Due to the curfew applied on Saturdays and Sundays within the framework of the restriction measures taken in the Covid-19 pandemic, the rituals that have been held on Tuesdays during the week for about a year and a half in the Mersin Greek Orthodox Church have started to be performed on Sundays again after the restrictions were lifted.
There was a very large crowd in the first mass, which was held with the lifting of the bans. The members of the congregation, who had not participated in Sunday services for a long time, fulfilled their longings with the Sunday service.
Mersin Greek Orthodox Church Spiritual Head Father İspir Teymur expressed his pleasure to be together with church members again, and warned those attending the service to wear masks and follow social distance rules. Prayers were said for getting rid of the danger of the pandemic and for all people to live in health and peace.
