On February 26, Friday, SAT-7 TURK Executive Director Melih Ekener, Program Manager Cüneyt Arikan, Social Media Manager Ümit Teymur and Board Member Krikor Dinçkayıkçı, has visited the Armenians of Turkey Patriarch Sahak II. Members of the Patriarchate’s SAT-7 TÜRK Television Channel Relations Committee were also present at the meeting.
First of all, Melih Ekener thanked His Beatitude the Patriarch for accepting the SAT-7 TÜRK and showing his kindness to spare time for them.
He also expressed his special gratitude to His Beatitude the Patriarch for agreeing to begin his preaching program series. His Beatitude the Patriarch’s program on understanding the Bible started to be broadcast on SAT-7 TURK as of February. It was stated that the program attracted the attention of the audience and very good feedbacks were received about the program.
Later, the members of the Patriarchate’s SAT-7 TÜRK Television Channel Relations Committee shared their opinions and stated that different people could also participate in the projects of the channel on behalf of the Patriarchate in the future.
Patriarch Sahak II expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the channel managers. He also said that this visit was beneficial in terms of conveying the Patriarchate’s views and principles through dialogue. He also wished that the works of the channel would be beneficial in the development of inter-church relations and said, “The contribution of our Patriarchate to the channel is especially aimed at introducing the culture and belief of the Armenian Church.”
At the end of the visit, SAT-7 TÜRK Executive Director Melih Ekener, Program Manager Cüneyt Arıkan, Social Media Manager Ümit Teymur thanked His Beatitude the Patriarch for their hospitality and left the Patriarchate.
