The Magnificent Feast of the Nativity of Christ was celebrated in Izmir. On Monday morning, December 25, St. John’s Cathedral was filled with people of all ages. Priests from different churches of Izmir accompanied this magnificent celebration, led by Monsignor Martin Kmetec, Latin Catholic Archbishop of Izmir.
After reading the Words from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah and the Letter to the Hebrews, Father Iosif Robu from Karşıyaka Church read the Words from the Gospel of Jesus Christ written by St. John.
At the end of the ceremony, the Archbishop shared his wishes for everyone, wishing that Christmas would bring peace and brighten the world.
After the Magnificent Mass of Christmas, refreshments were served to the community in the garden of the Cathedral.
