Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality created a committee consisting clerics of all the religious communities. Rev. Zakar Koparyan is assigned for the Armenian Apostolic Church in Turkey.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Cultural Heritage Protection Department Chief Mahir Polat and his delegation paid a visit to the Armenian Patriarchate on November 21, 2019, Thursday at 09.30 and met with Patriarchal Locum Tenens Bishop Sahak Mashalyan. The General Secretary of the Patriarchate, Father Tatul Anusyan and Father Shirvan Murzian also, were present at the reception.
The guests stated that committee consisting of representatives of different religious communities is established by the IMM. Bishop Mashalyan expressed his thanks for this courtesy visit. He also expressed his appreciation for this approach, which is worthy of the principle of equality and respect for the benefits of the communities.
Father Zakar Koparyan is appointed temporarily for this committee by Bishop Sahak Mashalyan.
