Monsignor Antuan Ilgıt, who was appointed as the Associate Bishop of the Anatolian Apostolic Vicarage, hosted the Father of the Greek Orthodox Church of Iskenderun and the Foundation Board of Directors. During the visit, which took place in a conversational atmosphere, wishes for peace and tranquility were made to the whole world.
Orthodox Church Foundation President Can Teymur, church father Yusuf Nicholas Papasoğlu and board members visited Anatolian Apostolic Vicarage Associate Bishop Monsignor Antuan Ilgıt at Iskenderun Catholic Church. The Orthodox Church delegation congratulated Ilgıt and wished him success in his duty.
Foundation President Can Teymur, who introduced the board members to Monsignor Ilgıt, said; “It is a matter of pride for us and for our church, that a friend we know closely has been appointed to such a position by His Holiness the Pope! I hope our churches will recover as soon as possible.” And he presented flowers to Father Ilgıt on behalf of his community.
Monsignor Ilgıt also thanked Orthodox Church Father Yusuf Nicholas Papasoğlu, Foundation President Can Teymur and the accompanying delegation for their courtesy visit.
During the visit, good wishes were also expressed for last Christmas and the New Year, and wishes were made for the new year to bring peace and tranquility to the congregation members and the whole world.
