The Social Assistance Commission of the Armenian Patriarchate of Turkey (PSYK), which continues its activities under the auspices and benediction of the Patriarch Sahak II, continued its activities on the eve of the Holy Resurrection.
As it is known, under the auspices of the Patriarchate and in cooperation with the poor branches of the churches, families in need are regularly visited and aid packages are delivered. At the same time, feeling the material and moral contributions of various benefactors makes this service even more efficient. Recently, the commission has expanded its field of activity and found the opportunity to reach more families in need across Istanbul.
On the eve of the Holy Resurrection, more than 500 families were reached and delivered aid packages as a result of PSYK’s work. As previously announced, in addition to the packages, market gift cards delivered to the Patriarchate by the IMM were also delivered to their owners.
According to the Patriarchate Social Assistance Commission volunteers, thanks to this service network, a good bridge has been formed between the Patriarchate Office and families in need so far. They try to reach out to their needy children as much as possible without damaging their dignity. In this direction, dozens of volunteers serving under the umbrella of the Patriarchate are making an effort to make this service successful. The fact that this service has gained the trust of benefactors is expressed as a pleasing development.
The outreach, made on the eve of the Holy Resurrection, also became the occasion for the paternal blessings and well-wishes of the Patriarch Sahak II to reach all families.
