Bishop Seyyidne Arsenyos Dahdal, who came to Hatay from Beirut to spend the Christmas period with the community members in the region, as the representative of John the 10th Yazıcı, Patriarch of Antakya and All Eastern Orthodox Churches, did not forget the community members who lost their lives in the earthquake disaster. Dahdal prayed for the dead at Antakya Cemetery.
Prayers were said for our Christian brothers and sisters who lost their lives in the disaster of the century that occurred on February 6. At the prayer event held in Antakya Cemetery, Bishop Dahdal was accompanied by Archimendrite Paul Orduluoğlu, Antakya Orthodox Church Father Dimitri Doğum, Antakya Greek Orthodox Church Foundation President Fadi Hurigil, foundation administrators and community members of the Antakya Church.
Dahdal, who prayed over the graves of those who lost their lives in the earthquake in Antakya Cemetery, also expressed his wishes for patience and condolences to the relatives of the deceased. Additionally, the graves were consecrated by pouring holy water and wheat grain.
Pointing out that the disaster that occurred on February 6 was quite serious, Bishop Dahdal reiterated that, as the Patriarchate, they stand by all Christians in this region and noted that they are always ready to support.
