The Çukurova Polyphonic Choir performed hymns for the Christian community at the Church of St. Paul in Adana.
Christian families in Adana participated in the Christmas celebrations held on December 24 at St. Paul’s Church. Çukurova Polyphonic Choir performed Christian hymns after the religious celebration for the guests.
The choir conductor Nevin Apaydın said that it is a pleasure for them to perform for the first time at the Church of Adana. “We will continue to work to increase such cultural activities in Adana. Art has no language, religion or race” Apaydın said.
Francis Dondu, the parish priest of the Church of St. Paul said: “We wish to continue to promote Adana with cultural events through our church”
In addition to the Adana Christian community, the ceremony was attended by the CHP Adana deputy Müzeyyen Şevkin and his family and the former deputy Zülfikar İnönü Tümer and many guests. The participants then cut the Christmas cake. (SAT-7 Türk/İlyas Edip TERBİYELİ-İskenderun)
