Abdulmesih Sabuncuoğlu, one of the Father of the Sarılar St. Georgios Greek Orthodox Church in Altinozu district of Hatay, died in Germany. Father Sabuncuoğlu had been treated at the hospital for a long time.
Abdulmesih Sabuncuoğlu, senior father of Altınözü Sarılar Orthodox Church, died in the hospital where he was treated for a while. The death of the priest of the Altinozu Church, which has been in Germany for a long time, caused great sorrow both in Germany and in his hometown of Hatay. It has been learned that Abdulmesih Sabuncuoğlu’s body will be buried in the city where he was located in Germany.
Fathers of Altınözü Sarılar St. Georgios Greek Orthodox Church and the Board of Trustees of the Foundation issued a condolence message following the death of Father Sabuncuoğlu.
In the posted message; “This morning, we lost the senior father Abdulmesih Sabuncuoğlu, our father and teacher in Christ, who was the first to spread the divine word in Germany and worked hard in this way, who was one of the founders and promoters of churches in this region. Our Lord and God, Jesus Christ, may bring his soul to peace in the arms of the prophet Abraham, beside the saints and angels. Christ Is Risen!” statements were included.
Many members of the congregation from the Hatay region underlined that Abuna Abdulmesih fulfilled his duty duly to serve the Lord and to become a loyal servant throughout his spiritual life and that he founded the church of our Lord Jesus Christ in Germany and to not let any of sheeps would disappear from the Lord’s dairy, he kept them together with love, compassion and sacrifice.
