Hatay Churches Joint Christmas Celebration held in Hatay/Samandağ was broadcast live on SAT-7 TÜRK screens and social media accounts on Wednesday evening, December 27th.
The opening speech of the celebration was made by Selim Bayrakçıoğlu, Pastor of Altınözü İsa Mesih (Jesus Christ) Church. In his speech, Pastor Bayrakçıoğlu touched upon the importance of the Nativity Feast.
After Pastor Selim Bayrakçıoğlu, Antakya Mesihçiler Church Leader Elmas Akın taking the floor, talked about her own life and shared her testimony.
Following the Antakya Mesihçiler Church leader Elmas Akın, a time of worship with hymns was held accompanied by the Altınözü İsa Mesih Church Worship Group.
Respectively; The hymns “Happy Birthday Jesus, Great and Exalted, Vılıd İl Mesh” were sung in unison with enthusiasm.
After the worship, a theater play called “Getting Rid of Sin” was performed. After the theatre, the Altınözü İsa Mesih Church Worship Group sang hymns again and performed the worship time. Hymns were sung entitled: “Day of Joy, Peace to All Men.”
The sermon on the meaning and importance of the Nativity Feast was shared by Esat Avcıoğlu, Pastor of the Cologne Church in Germany. After the sermon, it was time to worship again. The celebration ended with the hymns entitled “Eternal Flame in Our Hearts, Our World Was Amazed”.
