An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 occurred in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş. The intensity of the earthquake that took place at 04:17 in the morning also shook the surrounding provinces. Buildings were destroyed in Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Kilis, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, Malatya and Hatay. ADIYAMAN
Adıyaman Governor: At least 100 buildings were destroyed, 28 of our citizens lost their lives.
DİYARBAKIR
Diyarbakır Governor Ali İhsan Su announced that 6 buildings were destroyed, 6 citizens lost their lives and 79 people were injured in the city.
MALATYA
Malatya Governor Hulusi Şahin stated that 23 people have lost their lives, 420 people have been injured, and 140 buildings have been destroyed in the earthquake so far.
ŞANLIURFA
Şanlıurfa Governor Salih Ayhan said, “Currently, 17 of our citizens have passed away and 77 of our citizens are injured. “19 buildings were destroyed in the city,” he said.
GAZİANTEP
Stating that they received 657 notices from the first moment of the earthquake, Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül announced that there were 531 dents throughout the city.
HATAY
Hatay Governor Rahmi Doğan stated that there were destroyed buildings in the city and said, “There are people who lost their lives, and we have many injured.” said.
ALARM GIVEN AT LEVEL FOUR
Noting that there were aftershocks, Minister of Interior Soylu said, “There have been 6 earthquakes over 6 so far, the biggest one is 6.6. At the moment, we cannot say anything clear about the destruction and loss of life information. All our teams are on the alert. We’ve set up a fourth level alarm. “This is an alarm that includes international aid,” he said.
A call was made to the vehicles going to the earthquake zone not to get on the traffic. In addition, it was requested not to use mobile phones outside the earthquake zone due to the intensity of communication.
President Erdoğan called Kahramanmaraş Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun and received information after the 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Pazarcık.

ALL TELEPHONE LINES OPENED AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE
Presidency of Communications Directorate stated that the phone lines of all GSM operators, which were closed due to the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, were opened by increasing the capacity.
In the statement made on the social media account of the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, it was noted that all GSM operators will increase the capacity and provide internet service, so that the people of the region will not be victimized due to the earthquake that occurred in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş.

CHURCHES DESTROYED
While the liturgical area of the Iskenderun Annunciation Latin Catholic Church was completely destroyed, the Arsuz Orthodox and Iskenderun Orthodox Church also suffered heavy damage from the earthquake.
The Protestant Church of Antakya was destroyed by the earthquake, and the Greek Orthodox Church of Iskenderun was also heavily damaged.
