The Social Assistance Commission of the Armenian Patriarchate of Turkey (P.S.Y.K.) has announced its 2020 work report.
The statement made on the Patriarchate’s Facebook page is as follows;
”The Social Assistance Commission of the Armenian Patriarchate of Turkey (PSYK), which continues its activities under the patronage and blessing of His Beatitude the Patriarch Sahak II; presented to His Beatitude the Patriarch the detailed report covering the first year of the pandemic relief activities carried out by our churches with aid branches for the poor (Akhgadakhnam) and donors since March 2020.
In the report; It was stated that 6,483 parcels of food aid were delivered to approximately 2,000 families who were trying to survive under difficult conditions due to reasons such as migration, unemployment and lack of social security and who conveyed their immediate needs to the Commission.
In addition, it was reported that regular aid was provided to 420 families, 6 times a year, by expanding the list of existing 276 families of aid branches for the poor.
It was also stated that in the distance education system, 243 desktop computers were delivered to the students in need in order to meet the computer needs of our children.
For the 2021 targets of the commission, his Beatitude the Patriarch Sahak II wished success, thanked the team working on the basis of volunteerism and trust, and all the benefactors who supported them with their donations, and blessed with paternal prayers.”
