The “Nativity of the Virgin Mary” was celebrated with a special ceremony at the Müjdeleme (Annunciation) Latin Catholic Church in Iskenderun. Church Father Dariusz Dogondke conducted the Holy Mass held at the Iskenderun Catholic Church Chapel on the occasion of the Feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.
Father Dogondke gave a sermon at the service, talking about the holiness of the Virgin Mary; “The Virgin Mary is a very special symbol for us, for starting a brand new life after the Angel’s good news! She is the mother of God! Therefore, her birth is also a planned work of God.
She lived his life not for herself, but to fulfill the Father’s will. She was always faithful to God who spoke to her! ‘We, too, must walk on Her path and always live a life faithful to God’,” he said.
During the Holy Mass, in the context of praising the Virgin Mary, the prayer “Hail Mary” was recited and prayers were said together.
