General Directorate of Security announced that the person who sent a threat message to the Hrant Dink Foundation was caught.
Founded in memory of journalist Hrant Dink, who was killed as a result of an assassination, the International Hrant Dink Foundation announced in yesterday’s statement that they received death threat emails aimed towards the foundation authorities and Dink’s wife Rakel Dink and stated that Şişli Police Department and the Governorship of Istanbul were informed in writing about the messages.
Today’s statement of the General Directorate of Security is as follows:
“We have learned that on May 27-28, 2020 Hrant Dink Foundation received the following email. “One night we will come suddenly and destroy that place. I can only say that you can either leave or die. This time Rakel Dink and that lawyer of hers will die.”
It has been determined that it the email address is used by H.A. residing in Konya / Selçuklu.
The person was taken into custody by the Konya Anti-Terrorism Branch Directorate and a judicial action was initiated against him.
