The Istanbul Protestant Churches organized a joint event at the Şişli Cemil Candaş City Cultural Center on Saturday, December 22 to celebrate the Birth of Jesus.
In the event organized by the Immanuel Bible House Church Pastor Behnan Konutgan, Dirisu Church Pastor Bedri Peker, Kadikoy International Community Pastor Vahan Isaoglu and many other Pastors participated.
The event started with the encouraging speech by Murat Basmacı, the Board Member of SAT-7 TÜRK and Pastor Konutgan. The opening prayer was recited by Pastor Peker.
The worship group consisting of different church members animated the gathering. They sang many Christmas carols.
During his speech, Pastor Isaoglu emphasized God’s humility of leaving His own glory for us.
Immediately following the sermon of Isaoglu, the greeting videos which have been shot for Christmas by Adana Liberation Church, Ankara Liberation Church, Christ Church of Antioch, Bursa Protestant Church and Diyarbakir Protestant Church were shown.
The most remarkable point in the Christmas Organization was the accompaniment of the participants with their mobile phone lights while the “Silent Night, Holy Night” song was being performed.
Semir Serkek, the Pastor of Bahçelievler Church of Grace, called everyone to a prayer by drawing attention to Christ who was born in the hearts. (SAT-7 TÜRK)
