The 73-year-old priest, Rev. Fr. Mihail Papas who is the parish priest of the Greek Orthodox Church in Tokaçlı in Altinözü, Antioch is known by his love for the birds who is caring in his garden.
Fr. Mihail Papas, who spent his days dealing with a large number of birds he cares in his garden, said he was interested in birds from a young age. Fr. Papas stated that he has many animals in the garden, from pigeon to ornamental chickens, from peanut peacocks to different birds.
He said: “I love the animals since a very young age. I have turned back to my motherland and I wanted to remember my childhood. I go to Antioch and bring the pigeons from the most beautiful breeds. I have ornamental chickens, partridges, peacocks. I like the birds, because they reflect the beauty of the nature.”
