On Sunday 5thand Monday 6thAugust 2018, the Sarılar District Social Assistance and Cultural Development Association was opened as a part of the Sarılar Summer Festival. Activities such as children’s activities, theater and film shows, concerts and Easter dances were held. In the programs prepared for children, various games were organized for children by the Antioch Metropolitan Municipality Children’s Team.
The residents of Altınözü and those who came from the surrounding provinces spent a lot time of fun in concert and other events organized within the festival.
At the end of the Sarılar Summer Festival, tradtional Easter dances were performed in the garden of the Church of St. George, accompanied by local songs. It was worth seeing the fun of the young people. Altinözü District Governor Bülent Uygur and Mayor Rıfat Sarı also visited the festival area and showed their support.
