The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the Remembrance Day of the Surp Ğeyvontyants in Kumkapı Virgin Mary Church on Tuesday (February 26th). This special day, also known as the day of the Armenian clergy, was celebrated 2 days before the Feast of Vartanants.
The Armenian Apostolic Patriarchate of Turkey celebrated the Surp Ğeyvontyants Day in the main church of the Patriarchate, the Virgin Mary Church in Kumkapı. The Patriarchal General Deputy Archbishop Atesyan, the Bishop Sahak Masalyan and the clergy attended the ceremony.
Rev. Kevork Çınaryan offered the Holy Eucarist during the ceremony. The hymns were performed with the choir with the organ played by Deacon Edvin Galibyan.
Following the Holy Communion rite, the community prayed for the martyrs of faith.
