Metropolitan Bishop of Latakia His Excellency Alber Asanasiyos Fahd, who is in Antioch for a while, made a series of visits in Samandağ and Mersin during the weekend. Metropolitan Bishop Fahd was welcomed in Samandag St. Ilyas Church with flowers, palm branches and his own pictures. He travelled to Mersin and Tarsus and visited St. Paul’s Church and St. Paul’s Well.
Parish priests of Samandağ Orthodox Church Rev. Trifon Abdullah Yumurta and Rev. Dimyan Yakupoğlu were also present during the visit. Metropolitan Bishop Fahd did a short thanksgiving prayer at the Church of St. Elijah, and later met with the congregation.
Metropolitan Bishop Visited Tarsus and Mersin
Within the scope of his visits, Mgr Alber Asanasiyos Fahd also visited the Orthodox Church in Mersin and the Church of St. Paul in Tarsus.
Metropolin Bishop Fahd visited the Orthodox Church in Mersin and met with the parish priest Rev. İspir Teymur and the members of the congregation.
