The Holy Christmas Mass, which was held in Iskenderun Annunciation Latin Catholic Church on Friday, December 25, was also held with the participation of a small number of community members within the scope of Covid-19 measures.
Father Dogondke, who gave a short sermon after reading the parts of the Bible, during the mass in which messages of peace were given; “Today we celebrate the bodily birth of Jesus Christ on earth. Our savior of love was born today. There is no place for sorrow on the day when life is born that overcomes the fear of death and heralds eternal promises. This is a day of joy. The heavens and the earth are happy. When the Lord is born today, the angels sing hymns and songs with joy. Jesus is the love of the father who became a human in the womb of Mary. She is a lover experienced by the people of Israel, promised as salvation and forgiveness of sins. Jesus; the sun rising from the compassion and mercy of the Father! Come, show the way of love and peace to humanity ”. He explicated.
It did not go unnoticed that the members of the community who attended the mass paid great attention to social distance, masks and hygiene rules during the mass in which Christmas Hymns were sung and Holy Communion was celebrated.
