A special service was held on the occasion of Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 9, at Taksim Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Church.
While the Holy Rosary were held during the month of May, dedicated to Mary, the holy mother of the Lord Jesus Christ, a special Holy Offering Liturgy (Surp Badarak) was held for Mother’s Day, which falls on the second Sunday of this month.
High Priest Hagopos Çopuryan, Der HaygAram Çekiç, Subordinate Diakon Jan Acemoğlu and readers attended the special service presided over by High Priest Vartan Kazancıyan.
Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Choir sang hymns at the special service, under the direction of Chief Zaven Agay. The mass, which was closed to the congregation due to the pandemic, was broadcast live on the social media pages of the Taksim Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Church.
