Organized by the Hatay Altınözü/Sarılar Neighborhood Social Assistance and Cultural Development Association, which has become very popular and traditional in the past years, the third “Summer Festival” started with very colorful images. The festival will last until 7 August.
The “Summer Festival”, organized by the Sarılar Social Assistance and Cultural Development Association, in the Sarılar District of Hatay’s Altınözü district, where Orthodox Christians live in density started with the Manuş Baba concert. Singer Manuş Baba, who sang his favorite songs and stayed on the stage for about two hours at the concert, gave his listeners pleasant moments. The locals, who showed great interest in the concert, turned on the lights of their mobile phones and accompanied Manuş Baba in their songs.
3 Full Days
The 3rd Summer Festival in Sarılar Mahallesi, planned on August 5-7, will be full again this year. In addition to Manuş Baba, local people will be excited with Ogün Sanlısoy and Mikotin Band concerts on August 7, and Ahmet Küçükdoğan’s illusion show will both surprise and entertain.
The festival in Altınözü/Sarılar also includes children’s activities, pantomime shows and raffle events. While the tents to be set up in the neighborhood within the scope of the festival will feature local flavors and products, the wooden swing set up will both entertain the children and make the participants experience nostalgic moments.
Inviting all the people to the festival, Sarılar District Social Assistance and Cultural Development Association President Costa Çifçioğlu; “We will be happy to see everyone among us at the festival that we will organize in order to keep the cultural heritage inherited from our ancestors alive and to make the festivals traditional,” he said.
