A holy service was held on the occasion of the “Presentation of Jesus Christ in the Temple” (Diyarnintarac Feast) on Tuesday evening, February 1, 2022, under the leadership of Archbishop Levon Zekiyan, the Spiritual Chief of the Armenian Catholics of Istanbul and Turkey.

In the ceremony held for this special day, also known as the feast of lights, Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Choir sang hymns under the direction of Chief Zaven Agay.
40 days after His birth, Jesus Christ was presented to God in the temple according to the Law of Moses. At the same time, Mary, the mother of Christ, performed the purification ceremony and presented the sacrifices prescribed in the Law. For this reason, the Church celebrates the feast of the presentation of the Lord in the temple (also known as the meeting with the Lord or welcoming the Lord) on February 2, 40 days after Christmas.
