In the Armenian Catholic Churches of Istanbul, the Nativity of Jesus Christ and Christmas, one of the most important Christian holidays, were celebrated with enthusiasm.
The ceremony at the Taksim Vosgeperan Armenian Catholic Church was conducted by the Vosgeperan Church’s High Priest, Hayr Vartan Kazancıyan. Anarad Hığutyun Armenian Catholic Church Priest Abraham Fırat, Chief Deacon Hagop Minasyan and other doctors attended the Christmas service. The Vosgeperan choir, led by Maestro Zaven Agay, sang Christmas carols. At the end of the month, the children had fun with the arrival of Santa Claus in the church hall.
In Kadıköy Surp Levon Armenian Catholic Church, Priest Mikail Uçar conducted the service. The church choir, with Maestro Arek Dolduryan and Sevan Harutyun Arapoğlu played the organ, sang Christmas hymns. At the end of the mass, the children had happy moments with the arrival of the traditional Santa Claus.
