Citizens living in Antakya, İskenderun and Arsuz districts of Hatay, which is one of our cities that were destroyed by the 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes that hit Kahramanmaraş on February 6, are trying to hold on to life in the middle of the debris. While life continues in tent and container cities in some parts of the city, some parts are abandoned.
While the debris removal works continue after the earthquakes, tradesmen and citizens are trying to continue their normal lives.
The destruction in Antakya district, which was most damaged by the earthquake, is enormous. When all the debris is removed, it will be 80 percent empty land. Only few buildings are standing. There are almost no solid buildings. Work continues in the area.
