The tradition of Christian brothers and sisters to remember that they are one in the Lord and to come together in different churches and pray together throughout the week continues this year. The annual Unity Prayer Week will be held in Istanbul between 20-27 January.
This year’s theme of the Unity Week of Prayer is from Luke 10:27; “Love the Lord your God… Love your neighbor as yourself.”
The Istanbul program of the Week of Prayer for Unity is as follows:
First day: January 20 at 6.00 pm at Arnavutköy Hagia Strati Taksiarhi Greek Orthodox Church
Second day: January 21 at 6.00 pm at Dutch Chapel (Union Church)
Third day: January 22 at 6.00 pm at Surp Pırgiç Armenian Catholic Church
Fourth day: German Protestant Church on January 23 at 6.00 pm
Fifth day: Wednesday, January 24 at 6.00 pm at Büyükdere Meryem Ana’nın Doğuşu (Birth of Virgin Mary) Latin Church
Sixth day: Thursday, January 25 at 6.00 pm at Meryem Ana (Virgin Mary) Syriac Orthodox Church
Seventh day: Friday, January 26, at 6.00 pm at Pera Diriliş (Resurrection) Church
