The famous photographer Ara Güler was hospitalized due to his illness. After his heart had stopped twice, he was taken to the intensive care unit and despite all the intervention, he lost his life.
The body of the journalist and news photographer Ara Güler, who deceased at the age of 90, was taken from the hospital where he died and brought to the Surp Yerortutyun Armenian Apostolic Church in Beyoğlu. The funerals of Ara Güler will be held on Saturday, October 20 at 12.00 at this church. He will be buried in Şişli Armenian Cemetery.
The Armenian Catholic Archdiocese of Turkey bestowed on Ara Güler the Medal of Mıgırdiç Beşiktaşlıyan on March 19, 2017 at the Surp Pırgiç Armenian Catholic Church.
