The Armenian Catholic Community of Istanbul celebrated the “Feast of the Priests of Surp Gevontyants” (Saint Clergymen) on Wednesday, February 23, with a special ceremony held at the Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Church in Taksim.
The spiritual leader of the Armenian Catholic Community, Archbishop Levon Zekiyan, Archpriest Vartan Kazancıyan, Archpriest Abraham Fırat, Archpriest Mikail Uçar, DerHayr Haygaram Çekiç, Archdiakon Der Hagop Minasyan, Gisasargavak Jan Acemoğlu, and other ministers accompanied to the liturgy. In this special service, Surp Hovhan Vosgeperan Choir sang chants under the direction of Conductor Zaven Agay.
In the feast of the Armenian Catholic Priests, celebrated in Taksim Vosgeperan Church on the occasion of the Feast of Saints Gevontyants, they cut the special cake for the day, especially with the sharing after the ritual, and the clergy who were there congratulated each other and celebrated this special holiday.
