The Lusavoric choir gave its first concert in 2020 at the Surp Yerortutyun Armenian Apostolic Church in Beyoğlu.
The concert was performed with Maestro Hagop Mamigonyan and accompanied by Rober Doğanay on Thursday, January 02, at the Beyoğlu Surp Yerortutyun Armenian Apostolic Church with a repertoire of folk melodies.
It was started at 20.30 with the arrival of the 85. Elected Patriarch of Armenians of Turkey, His Eminency Sahak II Mashalyan. In addition to the parish priest Reverend Yeghise Uckunyan, Fr. Harutyun Damatyan, Fr. Kirkor Damatyan, Fr. Kevork Çınaryan, Fr. Sarkis Kuyumcuyan and Fr. Shirvan Murzyan also attended.
The people who filled the church completely had pleasant moments during the concert. In his closing speech at the end of the concert His Beatitude the Patriarch said that he found the concert very successful. He congratulated all the members of the 90 – year – old Lusavoric choir and the Maestro Hagop Mamigonyan.
Following the “Lord’s Prayer”, the concert ended with a Christmas song sung in English.
