The Patriarch of the Armenians of Turkey, His Beatitude Sahak II called the faithful to pray on the Facebook page of the Patriarchate.
Patriarch Sahak II asked church administrators to create a special prayer chain for Harutyun Şanlı’s corona diagnosis, where he had been treated for several days in the intensive care. He asked the people to communicate the names of other patients to Sister Kayane and invited all the faithful to pray for those names every evening at 9 p.m.
The Patriarch’s letter is as follows: Dear believers, our sadness endures as the number of our loved ones caught by the Coronavirus increases. I wish all patients an immediate recovery. Mr. Harutyun, one of our church foundation managers, has been receiving treatment at the Surp Pırgic Armenian Hospital for several days with the diagnosis of coronavirus. According to the recent reports, his condition has been aggravated and he has been taken to intensive care. He also has diabetes and heart problems. I want to create a special prayer chain for the healing of our brother Harutyun, who has a very valuable place and important contributions in our community life. Especially tonight you can join this chain of prayers which starts at 9 p.m. and remember Harutyun Şanlı in your prayers. May God see his services and efforts and give him health.
