Tabaşyan: “The Holy Spirit protects both us and our churches”.
Avadis Tabaşyan, the high priest of Iskenderun Karasun Manuk Armenian Church and Hatay Armenian Churches, shared a celebratory message from his personal social media account, regarding the occasion of “Pentecost”.
Pointing out that with the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the Church was preserved and strengthened as well as the disciples of Jesus, Tabaşyan emphasized that God touched all hearts through the Holy Spirit.
Tabaşyan, who also hopes that the Holy Spirit will be our leader and helper throughout our lives said: “Beloved ones, I’m wishing you a beautiful Pentecost. Today is the 50th day after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, that is, 10 days after his ascension to heaven, the day we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit to the disciples of Jesus Christ in the upper room known as “descending on earth.” In other words, it is the “Blessing” day of all believers.
Lord Jesus Christ told his disciples: ‘… But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid…”
So now, with this most reliable word, the Lord continues to fulfill his Word at all times. He has always been protecting His church for centuries and renews those who believe in His Word with the same strength and blessings as His disciples. Therefore, may the Lord equip each one of us today, with His courage, wisdom and strength through the Holy Spirit. May the Holy Spirit guide and help us.
